Water in your home

Information about your water supply

Our drinking water is of the highest standard when leaving our treatment works. However, its quality can be affected by repairs to our mains network or the pipework in your home.

If you're having plumbing work carried out in your home, we recommend using a WaterSafe approved plumber.

WaterSafe plumbers are specially trained to meet water fittings regulations, helping to protect the quality and safety of your drinking water.

Which pipes are yours?

It is useful to know which pipes are the water company's responsibility and which ones are yours.

We are responsible for the pipes in the road and leading to the boundary of your property. You are responsible for pipes inside your boundary, and the plumbing in your home.
