Project updates
27 April 2026
A total of 2,021 metres of main have now been laid to date. From 27 April onwards, works will continue at Pendell, where we will be excavating trial holes and pits.
Please note that the private lane will be closed on 28 April between 08:00 and 17:00.
Thank you again for your continued patience and cooperation while we carry out these works.
6 March 2026
The work along Warwick Wold Road and Pendell Road is continuing to progress.
To safely carry out the work, a road closure is currently in place at the northern end of Warwick Wold Road near Rockshaw Road, with access for residents.
As work progresses further down Warwick Wold Road, the location of the closure will move along the road. When this happens, access to properties will change to the northern end of the road via Rockshaw Road.
We will residents know in advance if their access arrangements change.
Warwick Wold Road and Pendell Road – mains renewal
As part of SES Water’s programme to improve the long-term reliability of your drinking water supply, we will be replacing 2,811 metres of the existing water main on Warwick Wold Road and Pendell Road.
Properties along the route will be connected to the new main, after which the old pipe will be safely taken out of service to complete the upgrade.
If you have any questions, please contact your SES Water Customer Liaison Officer, Tracey Buckland, who will be happy to help on 07368 504785 between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Timings
Work is scheduled to start on 5 January, and we expect it to be completed by early April.
To keep everyone safe during the works, we’ll be using a combination of road closures and temporary traffic lights. Access to properties within the work area will be maintained; however, there may be occasional short delays, with a diversion route in place. If any specific arrangements are required, your SES Customer Liaison Officer will contact you directly. Although construction will be taking place close to residential properties, we’ll make every effort to minimise noise and disruption.
